Welcome to The Space Between, a special collaborative project between myself (MaKenna Grace) and my good friend, Michael B. Morgan.

It’s a bit of a branch outside both of our comfort zones but we’re both so excited to share it with you!

So, what is this all about?

Whether or not we know it, there’s a space connecting all of us together, a space we don’t always see, but it’s always there, quietly hard at work weaving those bonds. Sometimes, that connection is strengthened and discovered, whether through blood, common passions, even love. And it’s those connections that, once made, are unbreakable. They span time and space, and aren’t afraid to cross borders or even oceans.

And it’s one such tale we intend to tell to you with this very special project. A story of love found through the most unconventional of ways, when a woman with a unique ability stumbles into a stranger’s dream.

The story of Annabelle Cartwright and Jonathan (Joe) Hornblower is one for the ages, and one I know we both hope you enjoy as much as we do telling it.

So, my dear reader, snuggle up, grab a mug of your favorite brew, because right here, every week (First chapter drops 12/4!) a new piece to their story will be revealed for your reading pleasure.

Hi you all, I’m Michael, and I want to thank you for being here.

MaKenna Grace has already presented this project beautifully, so I’ll only add a little. She’s the one who’s great at writing romantic stories; I’m the troublemaker just trying to keep up. And, as some of you might already know, I’m a fan of quantum mechanics and science fiction. Somewhere along the way, she and I started talking about space, time, quantum mechanics, and feelings that reach beyond both. As she wrote, about connection and correlation.

In the strange poetry of quantum physics, distance isn’t always what it seems. Particles drift in superposition, connected across space in ways our minds can hardly grasp. Maybe that’s what draws Annabelle and Joe together: not here, not there, not now, not then, but in all the possibilities that weave the space in between.

So, welcome, dear readers. We hope you’ll enjoy it.

-Michael
